Segment 1 and 4 Construction

Construction activities are underway on Segment 1 in Morgan and Weld counties and on Segment 4 in Crowley, Kiowa and Pueblo counties. Construction activities have been completed on Segments 2 and 3, including at Canal Crossing, Goose Creek and May Valley substation, which are now in-service. Additional construction activities will be initiated as construction permit approvals are granted by each jurisdiction.

Construction activities include the use of helicopters to aid in the stringing of wire between poles. Xcel Energy will coordinate with the Federal Aviation Administration and local officials during operations.
